From the estate of a NASA engineer, an awesome 8" x 10" photo of a J. Carlton rendering of the layers of the atmosphere Vanguard 2 would pass through before going into orbit, dated April 28, 1958.
Good condition with a few minor bends and wear on the far left edge, outside of the image, as shown.
A nicely done graphic and photo from an important part of American history, when the US was losing the space race with Russia. Displays really well.
