DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
Up for sale is a plate produced to commemorate the early years of space exploration. It is a small plate made from enamel on copper that depicts a white spiral nebula with a red line trajectory of a rocket or space craft. It measures about 7.75” wide. On the back, it says "THE HEAVENS ARE NOT TOO HIGH..." Designed by Alexander for CONVAIR A Division of General Dynamics Corporation. It was made as a tribute to the Atlas rocket in the 1950's.
It has some wear that ranges from surface rubbing fine scratches to some some deeper and wider scratches that penetrate into the enamel.  They are not very obvious mainly notable on close inspection and when held at an angle to a light source. I have shown example photographs, but due to the dark color and reflective nature of the enamel it was hard to show them all. There is a small flea bite chip on the edge as well. Please review the photographs and email me if you have any questions or want additional photographs.
I mainly sell used older items including antiques, collectibles and oddities so please expect some signs of wear from use. I will identify or describe any unusual or notable wear and damage in the description of the item or in the photographs but please email me if you have specific concerns I have not addressed.
