Description
Sloan (Katy, Missouri-Kansas-Texas) or Santa Rosa (Frisco, St. Louis-San Francisco) small plate by Syracuse. Each railroad apparently had its own name for the same Syracuse pattern. This was the pattern used in the all Pullman-built streamlined Texas Special introduced in 1947. The train ran from St. Louis to San Antonio and was one of the favorites of the Southwest. The Katy half was from Vinita, Oklahoma south and the Frisco was from Vinita north. The plate is 7 1/4” in diameter and is in very good condition. If it doesn't meet your expectations, return for a full refund, less shipping.
