You are buying a Scammell's Lamberton China Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) "Centenary" 8-3/8" diameter plate with the "Potomac Valley" center scene. The transfer is medium blue with a slight blurriness. The rim has eight illustrations celebrating the history of the B&O railroad. The plate is in good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or staining. It has numerous utensil marks that can be seen under oblique light. We believe these indicate that the plate saw service in the dining car.
