This is a very scarce silver eagle type-1 blank, with no upset rim. Type-2’s with upset rims are relatively common, with hundreds known on the market, but the type-1’s do not exist on the market. There are more out there, but as of this writing, but none on the market (and we have not see the others ourselves--just heard of them.)
The coin is ex-Fred Weinberg Collection.
