Description
A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued on August 25th, 1948 to commemorate the dedication of Palomar Observatory on August 30th, 1948.Palomar is a privately owned observatory in San Diego County, California. It is owned by Cal Tech and research time is granted to JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab) and Cornell University.
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as they were the day they were first sold at the post office over 70 years ago!
Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for anyone who has visited the area or loves astronomy.
