Description
Original Santa Fe Syracuse Mimbreño double egg cup. Mimbreño dinnerware was inspired by the thousand-year-old pottery art of the ancient Mimbres Indians of Southwestern New Mexico culture. The iconic Mimbreño dinnerware pattern designs were adapted by Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, one of this country’s earliest woman architects and was originally served in the Super Chief dining cars on the Santa Fe railroad beginning in 1937. The raven design inside the bowl is pure delight. This neat piece is 2 3/4” in diameter with a height of 3 3/4” and it shows almost no signs of use. Some concave bottoms do not have backstamps and this is one of them but I'm certain it was made by Syracuse. This is a great addition for any western china collection. If it doesn't meet your expectations, return for a full refund, less shipping.
