    Description

This is a place setting of dinnerware for two from the Ohio Central Railroad. Nice pieces of railroad memorabilia even thou this dish set is from 2001-2002, but comes from a short lived passenger line for tourism sight seeing that used to be from Sugarceek to Baltic Ohio and back to Sugarcreek using a steam locomotive in most cases, but did use a vintage restored diesel locomotive some times out of their collection. In good condition and no chips or cracks, this will have extra packing material for shipment. I got this set from my one old neighbor that retired from this railroad and this was a gift to him for his service for his stay as a conductor for them. This railroad now has added a real train roundtable museum and could possibly have another passenger line open some day again, just not right now and time will tell, still a cool place to go see. I do imagine there is more dish sets out there in existence, but very possible not in a collector's hands, because of the short life of the railroad running the passenger line, but also not many people had the chance to retire from that railroad at all. This was made purposely for a special occasion and also a special train runs at Christmas time. In nice condition and very eye appealing. Also comes with a VHS movie tape advertising the railroads sight seeing adventure in the rolling hills of Tuscarawas and Holmes County Ohio from 1998. The set contains a creamer and sugar bowl with lid, two dinner plates, two salad or soup bowls, two desert plates, two smaller side dish bowls and two cup and saucer sets. Dishes made by China Concepts in Golden, Colorado and are dated 2001 and 2002. All the pieces are marked Ohio Central Railroad.  This railroad does still operate a freight line, and again, trying to create a small passenger line to offer a tourist experience some day possibly, but nothing is set in stone and not for sure and may stay as it is operating right now as just a museum.
