Hall of Famer BOB BAFFERT trained SILVER CHARM ridden by Hall of Fame Jockey GARY STEVENS was going for The TRIPLE CROWN after winning both The Kentucky Derby and The Preakness.   SILVER CHARM ran 2nd beaten by just 3/4 length by The CHRIS McCARRON ridden TOUCH GOLD costing SILVER CHARM The TRIPLE CROWN.
This was the first time Hall of Fame Trainer BOB BAFFERT had a horse going for the TRIPLE CROWN.
HALL OF FAME TRAINER BOB BAFFERT would win THE TRIPLE CROWN on his 4th attempt WITH AMERICAN PHAROAH in 2015 and in 2018 JUSTIFY trained by Bob Baffert Won THE TRIPLE CROWN as well!
This program is from the Belmont Stakes race day at Belmont Park 25 years ago!
