This is the best mesh bag ever. Cannot tell you how many mesh bags I have bought. To have one survive this long is amazing. I don't know what all these other people use mesh bags for but to me, they are bait tanks. I literally make bait holding pens out of them and drop them in the surf or oyster bed to keep all my baits alive while I fish. I hold pin fish in there, live blue crabs (declawed) and mullet. Yes, mullet! And for those of you who live in the mainland, mullet is a big fish. 12, 15 inch easy. Fast, strong, schooling fish. I pack them in there and use them to catch monster sharks and tarpon. I haul this bag around with a flat 5lb lead weight on the bottom to keep it in place in the water. Crabs smell the fish inside and try clawing their way in. Sharks will even take a bite out of it taking the head off a mullet but never managing to tear the bag itself. Dude, this is seriously the best mesh bag in the universe. Others eventually fail, resulting in me loosing all my caught bait. In fact, the bag outlasted the metal rings that hold the bag open for swimming room, rusting apart. I'm purchasing this thing a second time to make a new bait hotel. This time I'm going to apply clear coat to the metal supports to see if I can actually maintain a bait pen for more than a year! If my new bait holding pen lasts more than a year I'm going to update this review.

My husband would not drive me to pick up my new bees unless we had some protction in the car. I bought this to put the package of bees in, so they could not sting us if they got out of their Nuc. I worked perfectly. All we got from the back seat was the angry buzzing.
Once we got home and installed the bees into their hive, I washed the laundry bag and use it now for what it was intended. I observed no fraying of material after taking it out of washer. I did not dry this bag in the dryer. I just hung it up to dry.
My kids fill this up with dirty clothes and enjoy throwing it over the bannister at the top of the stairs. They also love kicking it down the steps as well. I have observed no holes or wear and tear from their abuse. No fraying of the cord, and bag material is heavy duty. Overall I am pleased with this laundry bag.

Can this fold down to a compact size for travel?

Does this have handles? I don't want a drawstring top, it's too clumsy to carry up and down several flights of stairs.
Answer:
Drawstring top. Great for grouping small items together. Also good to use to maintain balance in machine when washing small bulky items such as small area rugs. When full, bags tend to be bulky.
