Canadian National Railway Shipping Bonaventure 1948 Grindley England

Description

This pattern was used by Canadian National Railway and called Bonaventure.
The logo consists of a maple leaf with a box inside reading Canadian National, all in brown. Blue and gold stripes accent the rims. Grindley of England was the manufacturer.
This particular version of the Bonaventure pattern doesn't include Railways in the logo. Photographic proof shows it was used on the shipping arm of the railway.
The bowl measures 7 1/4 inches in diameter and stands just over 2 inches tall. No chips or cracks but there is some crazing in the well. It shows very little use. Date made was 1948.
Nice early piece of this pattern and harder to find. Perfect for your railroad or shipping collection.
