Here is a Mint Error 2000 Lincoln Memorial Penny. Graded by PCGS: MS63RB D/S - 2nd Strike 60% O/C, 2nd Strike Uniface Obverse -
A very nice example of this double strike error.
As these pennies consist of 97.5% zinc and only 2.5% copper plating, the mint error stressed the planchet and scraped off the copper in rotating, parallel streaks, so that the underlying zinc can be easily seen as
silver to grey color and is not corrosion.
However, there are small specks of dark red that can be seen over 5x on the obverse, I don't think they detract from the eye appeal at all.
