1973 Cessna 172M Skyhawk Owner's Manual D964-13 Printed 8/75

$ 10.41

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Condition: This sound factory original owner's manual is in just good enough used condition. The book is somewhat lumpy from moisture, and it had been folded vertically. The cover is well worn but in one piece. The vertical crease on both the front and rear cover were floppy enough to require me to add clear packing tape over the creases on the inside covers to stiffen and reinforce them. Wear and age along the lower spine resulted in the cover having become free of the original lower staple, therefore, I have added clear packing tape over the lower half of the spine and properly installed 2 additional staples for security. The cover now is well attached. Notes at the top of the front cover have been covered by a piece of self-adhesive postage label. Coffee(?) stains are found on the back cover. Minor pen cyphering is found on page 1-7. Pencil marks or notes found on pages 6-3 through 6-5 have been removed by soft eraser, faint artifacts may be visible. There is patina throughout. Seethe photos.

    Description

    1973 Cessna 172 Skyhawk Owner's Manual. 172M.  D964-13. Printed 8/75 per the inside cover.  This sound factory original owner's manual is in just good enough used condition.  The book is somewhat lumpy from moisture, and it had been folded vertically at one time. Notes at the top of the front cover have been covered by a piece of self-adhesive postage label for aesthetics.  Coffee(?) stains are found on the back cover.  Minor pen cyphering is found on page 1-7.  Pencil marks or notes found on pages 6-3 through 6-5 have been removed by soft eraser, faint artifacts may be visible.  There is patina throughout as you might expect of a manual of this vintage.  That is it.  That's enough.  The good news is that this book is sound and complete with no other writing or markings, no highlighting, no torn or missing pages.  The corners show wear, but the book lays rather flat.  See the photos.  Sure, this one is stained, lumpy, worn, creased, scratched, kinked, marked, taped, and stapled, but it is complete and sound, not particularly marked up, and now it's ready to go again.  This one is perfect for your toolbox, or for your kids to learn about your airplane, or for a little light reading when indisposed in the water closet.  Better yet, this one is perfect for your flying buddy who keeps borrowing your nice one without returning it.  You know the buddy I'm talking about.  This 45 year old manual is still quite usable.  Let's give it a new home.  Always check for revisions, supplements, and updates with vintage manuals.
    If your old 73 Skyhawk book looks worse than this one(not very likely), or it is falling apart like crap, then buy this one.
