    Description

    1968 D United States
    Washington  Quarter Dollar Coin
Major Mint Strike Error in Date
    1968 D MINTAGE: 101,534,000
We believe this unusual U.S. Quarter specimen is a 1968 D
but the center two numerals in the date are almost non-
existent and difficult to make out.  We don't know what may
have caused this, but assume it was a problem with the die
or perhaps foreign material got in the way during the strike.
We feel the coin itself is nearly uncirculated and retains
most of its detail and luster.
    We are not professionals or
experts and grading is subjective, so
    study the photographs
of the actual coin and you be the judge.
This one would definitely make a great addition to any "ERROR" collection.
Please email with any questions prior to biding.
    Thanks for looking.
